DLT has two state – of – the - art manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka and overseas: in Oman & India.  We have the latest fabrication equipment to manufacture trailers to international standards and specifications. The plant in Kelaniya can produce 1400 trailers per annum while the Dankotuwa has a capacity of 3500 trailers per annum. 

The pre-fabrication unit is equipped with latest tools and machinery to carry out the sub assembly of the main structure of a trailer.  This unit has all the machinery needed for metal cutting, bending and assembling operations and is compatible with CAD/CAM/CAE.

For maximum dimensional accuracy of the final product, all trailers are manufactured on a pre-tested and calibrated JIG installed in the fabrication unit.  There are JIGs which can be individually adjusted to manufacture different products at the same time in production lines laid in the fabrication-unit.

Entire chassis of all trailers are metal blasted to commercial grade and painted with two layers of anti-corrosive.  This process will ensure that all the welded joints and weather exposed areas of the trailer are protected from rusting. The assembling unit with modern assembly tools and fittings completes the trailer for final inspection.
